Ministry Areas of the Church of God of Prophecy in Jamaica!
Children’s Ministries Department
Paulette V. Bryan and Dawn Betton
The Children’s Ministries Department of the Church of God of Prophecy is aware that Jesus loves and values children. Children are our most valuable resource positioned to transmit/convey the vision of the church through the next era (kiros), in the power of the Holy Spirit. They are the church of today and the leaders of tomorrow; hence effective ministry to our children is very important.
As we embrace the core values of prayer, leadership development, harvest and stewardship; our Mission is to seize every opportunity to ensure that our children establish relationship with God and accept Him as their personal Lord and Savior ; so that they can become the anointed effective leaders God wants them to be. Effective leaders are crucial to this mission hence the department is using every opportunity to equip and empower faithful, capable men and women with leadership skills necessary to effectively minister to children. In fulfilling this mandate of developing effective leaders the Children’s Ministries Department has achieved the following:
- The publishing of a training manual on Effective Children’s Ministries.
- The training of Children’s Ministry Directors and workers in all parishes.
- The approval of its training program by the Christian Education Department, which is now being taught in New Covenant Bible Institute.
The Children’s Ministries Department joins with the convention in 2013 saying “Holy Spirit take charge – (of our children) – Anoint us for the Journey”.
Men’s Ministry Department
Wayne Williams & Ernest Allen
Men’s Ministry was established to address the issues affecting men in our Churches and the wider community so as to have significant impact on our families and by extension our nation.
The Mission of the Men’s Ministry of Jamaica is to reach our men in the Church and the society through teaching, mentoring, worshipping, bonding, training and evangelism, thereby creating men of Integrity, Identity, Intimacy and Influence after God’s design.
That the men of the church will rise to spiritual maturity, will become strong in all the areas, where there is current lack and will take leadership in communities where they live and influence other males to join the movement of men of Integrity, Identity, Intimacy and Influence. Change in our men will produce significant positive change in our nation.
CHARGE TO MEN
Neh 2: 20 “The God of Heaven will prosper us therefore we His servants will ARISE AND BUILD” We have unstoppable power at our disposal; let us by the help of the Holy Spirit defeat the enemy. The nation is depending on us - let’s arise and do it for our Lord Jesus.

The Way Forward:
To start a business to provide some of women with job opportunities.
To have a ministry that reaches out to the pastors' wives s and female pastors.
To offer capacity building to younger women desiring to answer the call to serve.
To continue sponsoring the two students to the Caribbean School for the Deaf To continue with the empowerment sessions in the parishes.
